Twitter in The Classroom

The ever evolving world of communication has changed. This has been seen dramatically with the way we connect with others. Allowing us a great chance to improve the way we can evolve our relationships with students.   1. Thanks for sharing! I definitely agree that the way we communicate today has changed and continues to change on a daily basis. Twitter has allowed people to stay in contact with each other in ways I never would have considered previously. I can definitely see the positive impact of this type of social medial. However, I have also seen the negative as well, I think young people today forget that what they post can never be "erased". There have been too many students in my school district in hot water over postings. We need to make sure that we are educating young people of the possible ramifications when posting in a negative way.

  2. I am hard pressed to find a valuable use for twitter in either my personal life or classroom. I am not saying that there is no use but I simply cannot find one. I think there is a real need for thoughtful reflections and twitter is too much like speed dating to me.

  3. I do not think that twitter should be used in the classroom, I see where twittering could be a distraction to some student. I have been in meeting and you see where employee are typing on their phone during the meeting and after you ask them what did they get out of the meeting a they can not tell you anything because they was on the phone twittering to other
